Guo Yu has launched another new product.

This is his 13th Vibe product, named tuwa.ai. Simply put, it’s an AI phone network—when you make a call, the other party hears their native language, and you hear your native language after translation. Neither side needs to download any apps; it works on landlines, mobile phones, and even phones in remote areas.

The usage is extremely simple: dial the free hotline +1 888 886 2968, tell tuwa who you want to call, and it will handle the rest. It supports real-time translation in over 100 languages, and you can switch languages freely during the call.


If you don’t want to use the hotline, you can also use the web app. The outbound agent is Guo Yu’s most frequently used feature—tell it “Help me book a table at a Japanese restaurant for 7 PM tonight,” and it will actively dial the other party’s number, complete the communication, record and translate the entire conversation. You only need to confirm at the end.


tuwa comes from the Japanese word 「通話」 (tsūwa). Guo Yu said that initially, he just wanted to make a tool to help himself book restaurants. But during the Vibe process, he gradually realized a fact: there are still many people around the world who haven’t been touched by AI, and phone calls are almost the only way to reach them without relying on smartphones or internet conditions.

The name is quite clever. tuwa sounds like “phone call” (tsūwa in Japanese).

**Some Feedback**

Shortly after the product’s launch, some people have tested it. Some encountered bugs and were disconnected halfway through calls; some tried calling Japanese ramen shops in Japanese, but the other party had trouble understanding; some users suggested adding pay-as-you-go instead of monthly subscriptions—occasional needs aren’t worth a monthly plan.

Guo Yu’s responses were straightforward: check for bugs, consider pay-as-you-go, and promise to resolve language confidence issues.

One reply mentioned that Chinese users have problems receiving verification codes. No further explanations have been seen so far.

tuwa.ai’s advantage lies in the three words “zero threshold.” No registration is required, no app installation is needed, and it works on feature phones. But the real test for this product may not be technology, but “when such a call is needed”—for many people, WhatsApp and WeChat have long replaced international call scenarios.

However, for those who really need international calls but struggle with language barriers, this may be the simplest solution available right now.
