Freepik recently launched a tool called Change Camera, with a straightforward core function: upload an image, and the AI will help generate a full 360-degree perspective view.


From the official demonstration, this tool is primarily aimed at designers and content creators. For example, if you have a front view of a product but need to showcase the side or back, the traditional approach is either to reshoot or rely on hard editing in Photoshop. Change Camera attempts to solve this pain point with AI.

Some users who have tested it have reported positive results, especially for scenarios like thumbnail design that require quick multi-angle displays. The tool is now available for use on the Freepik platform.

Technically, this falls under the perspective extension application in the field of image generation. Compared to generating entirely new images from scratch, the technology for transforming perspectives based on existing images has a slightly lower technical barrier but is highly practical. The key lies in the accuracy and coherence of the generated perspectives—if the side view is distorted or contains detail errors, the tool's value diminishes.

Currently, similar functionalities can be achieved in some AI drawing tools, but Freepik has launched it as a standalone tool, lowering the usage barrier. For non-professional users, it may be more user-friendly than learning complex prompt commands.

The development direction of such tools is worth observing. If perspective transformations are sufficiently accurate, they may be applied to broader scenarios like e-commerce product displays or virtual sample creation in the future.
